Istambul

I am so blessed to be able to see the world. I think Istambul is an amazing city!

Hi! 

I'm just back from the Goddess Center of the World- Greece. I was in Athens and the Greek Islands. Beyond Amazing.

 At the top of Athens is the amazing Parthanon- The Temple to the Goddess Athena built in the 5th century BC. Athena is the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and was a Warrior. It took nearly half a century to build, and has been converted to most major religions by the many later conquerors. 480- The Persians, 6th century- Christianity-dedicated to Mary, and the Ottomans converted it to a mosque. Now, its a tourist mecca. :)

Then off to Greek Islands-there are so many diverse influences- East and West meets here- at the crossroads between Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Roman empire is evident here at Lindos-Ancient City dedicated to the Sun God- Helios. This was one of, or maybe THE most amazing places I have ever been. Standing on the ancient temple of St. John overlooking the Aegean Sea with the seaside cliffs took my breath away. Still does, just thinking about it.
