With the magestic mountains and a huge waterfall cascading through the stage as a backdrop, Pop star, Heather Schmid performed ‘Mo Li Hua’ and from her album ‘The Goddess Within’ in Xingzi China. Heather Schmid’s mantra is to ‘Perform where no other Pop Star has ever been before’. Adhering to her words, Heather is now the only international recording artist to perform at the foothills of the magnificent ‘Lushan’ mountains for a wowed local crowd of over 10,000 and a TV audience of hundreds of millions more.

The adventure was captured by CCTV, as Heather taped a full 30 minute episode of ‘Travelogue’ covering her travel, performances and the most beautiful mountains, hot springs and villages in Jang xi province. The ‘Lushan mountains’ Xingzi Hot springs resorts, Moon Festival. Evening of fireworks, Tourism festival and Miss Tourism international were all part of this exciting week. A worldwide audience of over 200 million viewers will capture this beautiful landscape through Heather’s journey and performances.

American Producers Mauro Collangelo and Frankie Rossi collaborated with Heather to create a new version of the Chinese classic ‘Mo Li Hua’ Heather performed the pop song to a sold out crowd for the final evening for the Tourism Festival in Jiangxi province China. The song will also be featured in the Travelogue show.

Local and national political leaders organized several evenings of celebration with over 250,00 in attendance to commemorate Heather’s arrival in China. The moon festival honoring the only perfectly full moon of the year kicked off the festivities with fireworks, a huge press conference, September 26th Birthday evening celebration, and many parties were held at Hotspring spas, hotels, and outdoor arenas. The final evening performance was held at the Tianmu Hotsprings resort, where the hot springs are celebrated for their healing properties are supplied from 3000 feet below.

Most America Pop singers are most interested in the Amercan pop market, where their next show will be, the paparazzi, whether Perez Hilton is covering them, and their next celebrity appearance. Heather is proving to be a refreshingly new breed of pop star- one that is part of the global village, and most interested in the world’s story to tell.

‘The Goddess Within’ concept is about Music, Charity, Giving, Intelligence, Beauty, Power and Intensity.

Part of my wish is to get closer to my own intensity by experiencing and feeling other people’s passion and intensity. I like fashion-but not like these people. I don’t really know the designers and ‘what’s in for fall’ ‘what are the new trends’ and everything. But these people have such an intensity about it.

I go to fashion week for the power of it.

The designer’s spending all their time and effort to put together a new line that they pray and hope the fashion mags don’t completely trash. The magazine editors wading through the lines, the people, the photographers to get first glimps of ‘what’s new for Spring 08′ then figure out what to write about it, what they like about it and yes, what they hate about some unlucky designer.

The Public Relations people. They arrange the seating, the list of whose in the first row, the photographers, the editors, the celebrities, the press crews… Staff of some of the PR offices in their pajamas. They just sleep in their office for Fashion Week. I love that intensity.

The Models changing in 2 seconds with 4 dressers backstage, being intense about eating-or not eating to stay so skinny. I saw one model on the runway-her whole spine was bright red, she was so skinny her skin stretched around her spine so tight. That’s intensity. The camera crews-flying in from everywhere, running from one show to the next, to not sleeping to covering the afterparties…they are intense.

The stylists running around the whole city getting thousands of dollars of clothes carrying them on the subway or in and out of cabs, doing fittings, getting accessories, going to showrooms, dealing with PR people. Intensity.

The world wants to know about what’s next up in fashion. Japan, India, European media crews. I had one interview with a French crew that asked me to sing in French. Intensity.

‘The Goddess Within’ is about reaching your inner intensity finding your passion and sharing it with the world. These people are doing it. And loving it. It makes the madness worth it. Saturday I stopped by Wenlan Chai’s line at the tents ‘Twinkle’. She had a fun, easy to wear line.

Then we headed over to the Grand Hyatt where this lovely gentleman-Jeffrey Monson Rooms Executive escorted us to our room. Great Hotel right near the Tents and Great room.

Stylist helping me figure out which accessories go with what dress. See the hat in the middle of the bed there, I loved it. Stylist kindly informed me that I ‘Over-accessorize’.

The hottest Party and Fashion show came to Boston Thursday Night at the Grand Opening Gala at Nordstrom’s. It was a really fun night, with an original Salsa Band, Girl DJ( yeah!) upstairs, a really well done fashion show- with full on lazers, lighting onto LEDs and multi paneled backgrounds…anyway it was really full scale.
Party: It was 2000 of Boston’s beautifuls for this sold out 150. a head party benefiting Boston ballet and the MFA. They had tuna tartar, salmon by the poundful, shrimp with guacamole dip(needed salt), and the biggest display of Candy Apples I have seen. I was so giddy, you could make your own. I spied a few ladies dropping those Candy apples into their Nordstoms Bag trying not to be seen. That was cute.

I interviewed Mr. Nordstom for Boston.tv. Its the whole family. Peter Nordstrom was there, and his other brother too. Then Boston Ballet Artistic Director who had just returned from a Performance tour in Spain where they performed for the Queen thanked the family on camera. And Joyce Kulhawik Channel 4 Entertainment told Boston.tv all about her couture design she was wearing.
